Women In Insurance Cancer Crusade (WICC) is proud to support the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay For Life to raise funds in the fight against cancer.
This inspiring virtual event and powerful fundraiser, where 100% of donations are directed to Canadian Cancer Society research, celebrates and honours survivors, and remembers those whose lives have been lost.
This year, WICC’s Chapters will unite their efforts, making this the first WICC Relay For Life event with full national participation.

Take a look at how WICC supported the Relay For Life celebration in 2020 here[. While we can’t meet in person again for this year, we hope it will inspire you to join us for this memorable event to show Canadians affected by cancer that they’re not alone.
With inspirational opening ceremonies featuring impactful stories from cancer survivors, a luminary ceremony and more, the event will include all the things we love about Relay.

There’s no fee to register! You have two options for registration:
- Make a self-donation of $35 (You’ll get a tax receipt) OR
- Make the commitment to raise at least $150 (you can also make a self-donation to get yourself started!)

Download the free Relay for Life Mobile App to invite donation support from your network as well as challenge yourself, colleagues, friends and families to walk or run as much as you can.
It integrates with Apple Heath or Google Fit to track your steps, distance and you can earn badges and set challenges for yourself and your team as you go!

Step Challenge details:
– This step challenge has been created to encourage you to move while raising money for a great cause!
– The challenge will run for a month, starting on May 12th, leading up to the day Relay begins on June 12th
– Go to http://support.cancer.ca/goto/WICCRelay and click on “Donate”.
– In order to participate, please make a minimum donation of $25 to our team (get a tax receipt)
– Download the Pacer app on your phone and join the Step Challenge by entering code BSR1368 or copy and paste this link into your web browser –https://www.mypacer.com/challenges/BSR1368?short_id=G7lQHMRS
– Participants can also connect their Apple Watch and Fitbit to the Pacer App.
– Share our team fundraising page or the challenge link (from the app directly) with your coworkers, friends and family and ask them to join the fun!
– You can join at any time but steps are calculated at the end of each day for a month…so you’ll just have to catch up to our other walkers 🙂
– If you do not want to participate but still want to donate or support a walker, please do. Every dollar counts!!
