P&C industry people across Ontario are teaming up for a single cause in the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay For Life events that take place throughout June. To date, 43 WICC teams have registered and we are well on our way to raising $378,000 – our goal for 2012.
Relay For Life is a unique, inspirational, outdoor event that brings coworkers, family and friends together for 12 hours of fun, friendship and remembrance. It is also a wonderful opportunity to go out,
mingle with people in the industry and make a difference in the fight against cancer. It truly is a life-changing event.
The main WICC event will be held for the 4th year running at Esther Shiner Stadium in North York on Friday, June 22, from 7pm to 7am. And there are many other events held at other community locations across the province. It is the perfect opportunity to come together to honour those we have lost to cancer and those who have survived.
WICC and the Canadian Cancer Society have had an agreement since WICC’s inception that helps your pledges go further. By choosing WICC as your company during team registration, 100% of the money you raise will go to fund cancer research – there are no administrative fees deducted.
