TORONTO, ON, APRIL 28, 2025/insPRESS/ – Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade (WICC) is pleased to announce it is once again supporting the Canadian Cancer Society’s signature event, Relay For Life, a meaningful gathering that brings a sense of camaraderie to the insurance community, driven by a strong purpose to give back. All funds raised go directly toward funding ground-breaking cancer research and providing a national support system to Canadians experiencing a cancer diagnosis.

Relay For Life Toronto will take place on Thursday, June 5, from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm EST, at Stackt Market in downtown Toronto. With something for everyone to enjoy throughout the evening, the event also features an opening ceremony with a first lap to honour Participants of Hope, as well as a Luminary Ceremony to remember and celebrate loved ones carried in participants’ hearts.
“Relay For Life is a chance for our industry to come together and show up for those impacted by cancer, including patients, survivors and the families who walk beside them,” said Relay For Life Chair Amanda Martin, Director at Northbridge Insurance. “Our community is used to supporting people through some of life’s toughest moments, and this event is no different. We have the power to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people affected by cancer and help bring WICC closer to its annual fundraising goal of $250,000.”
The 2025 event marks WICC’s 17th year of participation at Relay For Life. As a longstanding and dedicated partner of the Canadian Cancer Society, WICC has raised over $20 million for cancer research to date. In 2024, WICC’s Relay For Life event raised $212,000
