We are delighted to announce this year’s WICC Ontario Volunteer of the Year Winner, Karen Forsey!
WICC would not exist without people volunteering their time to make events and fundraising happen. Not one penny of the over $18.6M raised in the past 26 years would have happened if it weren’t for our volunteers. These individuals give their time selflessly, often on multiple events and without seeking recognition of any kind.
Over the years, Karen has gone way above and beyond:
As a member of both the WICC Gala and Golf Committees, Karen has been a vital member of both committees for over 14+ years and we believe this nomination is a long overdue point of recognition. It is rare to see someone so dedicated to WICC, supporting two events every year and Karen is a rare person indeed, committed to WICC at a very high level. She brings her energy and organizational skills to both events year after year. It is hard to find someone who has been on the committees longer than she has.
You’ll never find Karen without a smile on her face and ready to pitch in however she can for this cause she has supported with heart and soul for so many years. We truly hope that Karen will continue to have a major role within WICC for many more years to come.
