The 22nd Annual WICC Ontario Learning Breakfast for Cancer took place in the ever-impressive Fairmont Royal York on November 6th and saw 425 guests come out in support. Some lucky Grade 9 students were also in attendance as this fell on ‘Take our kids to work day” and we were more than happy to host a younger generation! WICC’s mission and primary objective for the breakfast is to provide information to help attendees achieve a better understanding of cancer and its effects on people lives.
A huge thank you must go out to our panelists Dr Thomas Kislinger and Dr Warren Chan who gave fascinating snippets into the work they carry out which aligns with the areas of interest that WICC supports. Dr. Chan’s focus is on breast cancer and Dr. Kislinger’s is on prostate cancer. The work they undertake is so important to advancing research and understanding of cancer in its many forms. With the help of our always inspiring donors the 2019 breakfast raised an amazing $25,000!
