On Friday, April 10th, WICC Ottawa hosted their 5th annual Sugar Bush Breakfast. This year the event took place at a new venue – the stunning Shaw Centre (formerly the Ottawa Convention Centre) in beautiful downtown Ottawa. 250 attendees showed up wearing their finest plaid to be treated to a hearty breakfast in the traditional French Canadian Sugar Bush tradition. Diners were entertained by live music and dancers and fabulous door prizes were awarded for the best plaid!

This year the Sugar Bush Breakfast raised over $15,000 in proceeds, 100% of which will go to the Canadian Cancer Society to support life saving research and support for those affected by this terrible illness. During the event, WICC Ottawa presented a cheque for $30,000 the Canadian Cancer Society!
