National Sponsorship

We Thrive to Make A Difference

The National Sponsorship program provides exceptional recognition opportunities for companies seeking to donate to a well-known industry-wide and nationally established charity of choice.

Through the sponsorship program, corporations help WICC realize its mission while receiving meaningful sponsorship benefits and improved employee engagement. Above all, our sponsors benefit from WICC’s long-standing relationship with the Canadian Cancer Society and our agreement with them that all funds donated through WICC would bypass any administration costs typically incurred by the CCS. It is our mandate with the CCS that funds donated through WICC are 100% administration fee-free.

01

As a national program, participants have exposure at every WICC run event across the country – WICC’s Reach

02

National Sponsors chose to maximize their donation to WICC through a 3 year sponsorship of $15,000 per year while receiving benefits of national media exposure, local recognition and improved employee engagement: Media, Recognition & Engagement

03

We’re pleased to say that while the program benefits have enhanced significantly over the years, the National Sponsorship fee remains the same at $15,000 per year for 3 years.

This is why WICC chapters across Canada make a point of recognizing our National Sponsors at each and every WICC event from coast to coast.

Roar Engineering

ROAR Engineering – Vincent and Michael Rochon, founders of Roar Engineering, are very pleased to announce that Roar is now a National Sponsor with WICC. We believe this sponsorship program is a great way to support WICC and their strong focus on cancer research funding and education. Over the years, the Rochon brothers have supported various WICC events but we now wanted to make a bigger impact through a three-year commitment to the crusade against cancer. In one way or another, each of us have been touched by cancer. Truthfully all cancer-related charities are important so how do you choose which fundraising body to support? Roar used a scientific approach called ‘effective altruism’ to guide our decision. As engineers, our team is very familiar with this methodology and by using this evaluation we felt we could identify which charities would produce the greatest positive impact. WICC’s initiatives are directed toward saving and improving the lives of others, fundamentally creating a very effective way to improve the world. Roar Engineering has been consistently impressed by WICC’s strong volunteer base, from individuals to companies and associations, all related to the insurance industry that collectively contribute to the important fight against cancer. The WICC volunteer team is an absolute pleasure to deal with and Roar is looking forward to this new, more formalized relationship.
