The insurance industry has united every year in support of an organization called WICC – Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade – launched in 1996 in Ontario by a group of insurance industry professionals whose purpose has been to raise money for research and awareness initiatives developed by the Canadian Cancer Society.

As an industry, we have come together on many issues but none so deservingly as WICC with 100% of WICC’s contribution going to fund cancer research.
WICC Quebec was founded in 2009. Our goal is to establish meaningful partnerships within the Quebec insurance industry that will, in turn, support WICC’s fund-raising mandate and efforts and ultimately achieve great things for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Since its creation and with the support of the insurance industry, WICC Quebec raised over $300,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society, mainly through its benefit gala evening.

We’re hoping you and many more in this industry will join us on our crusade towards the fight to cure cancer and bring much needed funding to the areas of cancer research and awareness.

Grassroots fundraising ideas

Employees of Intact Insurance’s Crémazie office held a Denim day and donated the money raised to WICC Quebec.
C.N.A. held a golf tournament and encouraged attendees to make a donation to WICC Quebec.
Gen Re held a curling event and encouraged attendees to make a donation to WICC Quebec.
