On March 7th a curling bonspiel was held for the IBAA Peace River Local Council at the Sexsmith Curling Club.
During the one day event, teams curled four end games and used a roll of the dice to determine score. The competition was not about the best curlers, but rather the best roll of the die. Many first time curlers took part and really seemed to enjoy their introduction to the sport. For added fun some of the teams rounded up some great costumes. The event was terrific for team building and networking, with brokers, underwriters, restoration companies and adjusters taking part. For those who wanted to join in the fun without curling – there was a dinner following the bonspiel where all were welcome. Silent Auction items and draw prizes were generously donated helping to raise additional funds for WICC.
Thanks go out to the IBAA Peace River Local Council for making WICC your Charity of Choice and raising $1,400 at your inaugural bonspiel!
